This eleven-day (10 night) field experience will take you to the famous Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site in Dorset, England and to the stunning and remote North West Highlands Geopark in Scotland. Join other educators for hikes, museum visits and talks by local experts to explore some of the best geological locations in the UK.
The first half of our trip will be on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset: a hugely diverse and beautiful landscape underpinned by incredible geology of global importance. In 2001 it became a World Heritage Site.
The second half takes us to Scotland and the North West Highlands Geopark where we see rocks that span two-thirds of the Earth’s history and which were instrumental in major geological discoveries in the 19th Century.
Both of these locations are renowned for their stunning scenery, wildlife, and history. Time is allowed to enjoy the views and visit places of interest within our packed itinerary.

Cost: $US2,895 per person (not including airfares to/from the United Kingdom (into Heathrow, out of Edinburgh). Cost does include internal flight. (Shared rooms. Single supplement available – US$955 pp)).

Trip payment (including deposit) is fully refundable minus a US$50 administration fee up till COB on October 31, 2021. Cancellations between November 1, 2021, and February 1, 2022, will forfeit the deposit (US$500). Full payment is due before February 1, 2022. There are no refunds after February 1, 2022. It is a condition of registration that you take out travel insurance to cover cancellations due to health or other circumstances. GEOetc LLC nor its partners will not be held liable for any costs incurred for trips postponed or canceled due to events beyond our control.
