GEOLOGY OF THE SYDNEY BASIN
TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRIP

Come join a two day (one night) field experience where we will transverse the rocks of the Sydney Basin along the NSW South coast. We will see examples of the sedimentary sequence including shales, coal measures and end up in the Permian sandstones. We will examine first hand the unconformity that underlies the basins rocks. We will also see igneous intrusions, fossils, weathering patterns and more.
This trip will boost your knowledge and confidence to teach about local geology and landforms.
Trip departs Sutherland Railway Station at 9.00am and we wind down the South Coast before ending up in the Batemans Bay area over night. We wil retun the following day dropping you off at the Sutherland Railway Station by 5pm.
Transport (by mini bus), shared accommodation, dinner and breakfast and entrance to parks are all included.

Trip cost
The cost of the trip is $575 per person.
This includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner, entrance to parks, van transpot to and from Sutherland Railway Station, expert leader and notes. Lunches will be at your own cost.
