A series of 3D cut out paper models that show the major trap types for oil and gas. The trap models include:
Normal fault trap
Reverse fault trap
Anticline/syncline trap
Facies trap
Salt dome trap
All students need is a printer, scissors, and glue to make a 3-D model.
These models were developed by Tau Rho Alpha and myself as part of resources for Geoscience Australia and then The Geological Society fo America – both now giving them away for free.
