Meet your course leader
Gary Lewis is a passionate Earth science educator. He was born and educated in Sydney, Australia, and taught in schools in Sydney, Queanbeyan and Braidwood. He established the education program at Geoscience Australia before moving to the USA to lead the education effort of the Geological Society of America. Gary is the author of over 100 Earth Science activities and publications.
He established an chaired the International Union of Geological Sciences Commission on Geoscience Education and Technology Transfer and has served on Earth science committees around the globe.
He now lives in rural Maine where he directs GEOetc LLC. with the aim to share his passion for all things Earth science to educators and enthusiasts around the globe.
