Take a walk into the past as we explore the rocks and fossils at Woolshed Creek. You probably drive over this geological monument as you head to Canberra Airport or Queanbeyan and never realised its significance to working out the geological history of Australia.
We will talk about the rocks and the fossils they contain and why this is a very significant geological monument.
This is a gentle short walk – led by geologist Gary Lewis.
The walk takes around an hour.
We go rain, hail or shire – please dress accordingly.
ADULTS : $10 pp
(Age 16 and over)
CHILDREN: $5 pp
(Children are 15 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult and limited to two per paying adult)
